I have known about .hack for three or four years now, although the first games of .hack that I played were the GU series. I became addicted so I decided to play the old game series as well. Its kinda cool to play from the modern series to the old (although it gives away alot of the mystery). Has anyone eles played a game series like this?

No, I started from the anime, .hack//SIGN. Then I moved to IMOQ. It explains a lot more, while keeping the player in the dark. From there I read the first A.I. Buster and the Legend of the Twilight manga. Then I watched the .hack//DUSK anime and played the first .hack//G.U. I destroyed the G.U. series, but I still haven't beaten Outbreak to the fullest, and I don't even have Quarintine yet...

Im playing Quarintine right now, and so far I think its the best out of the IMOQ series.

Let's see here. Started with IMOQ then SIGN then DUSK then ROOTS then DUSK in manga form. Still waiting for my copies of GU to come in the mail  |
